Dr. Jennifer Morrissey-Patton - Dentist

Dr. Jennifer Morrissey-Patton grew up just north of New Orleans in Slidell, Louisiana. She has lived in many places, but now considers Alabama home. She is an honors graduate from Auburn University (1996) and UAB School of Dentistry (2000). Upon completing dental school, she associated with Dr. Charles Yates in his well-established practice in Hoover, Alabama, and in 2003, she purchased the practice. She loves dentistry and works hard to keep her staff and her patients happy and healthy.

In 2002, she married the love of her life, Heath Patton who is originally from the Birmingham area. In June 2004 their son, Gavin, was born and has brought so much joy into their lives. Dr. Morrissey-Patton loves spending time with her family and their dog. Her hobbies include SCUBA diving, traveling, and watching football. She is an active member of Riverchase United Methodist Church and the American, Alabama, and Birmingham dental societies. She has taught at UAB School of Dentistry and volunteers her time for several organizations including Cahaba Valley Health Care and the Birmingham and Alabama Dental Societies.

Dr. Charles Yates - Dentist

Dr. Charles Yates has lived in the Birmingham area most of his life. He grew up in Bessemer, Alabama, and graduated from Bessemer High School in 1955. In 1961, he graduated from the University of Alabama and then went on to graduate from the UAB School of Dentistry in 1966. From 1954-1962, he served in the Alabama Air National Guard and was on active duty in France. He also served as a volunteer with the CIA in the Bay of Pigs in 1961. He is an active member of Hunter Street Baptist Church and has volunteered in many service organizations throughout the Birmingham area including: the Bessemer Lions Club, Rotary Club, Masons, and Shriners.

In 1956, he married his wife, Marlene, and they have three children Stacy, Charles, and Dustin. They also have four wonderful grandchildren, and love spending as much time as possible with all of them. In his spare time, Dr. Yates enjoys water sports, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his friends and family.

Natalie Taft Gregory - Dental Hygienist

My name is Natalie Taft Gregory. I married David, the love of my life, in August 2007. We have a dog named Punkin and plan to have children in the near future. I have worked with Dr. Morrissey and Dr. Yates for six years, and have been a dental hygienist for four years. My hobbies include: spending time with family and friends and going swimming.

Kim Kizziah - Dental Assistant

My name is Kim Kizziah. I have been working as a dental assistant with Dr. Morrissey and Dr. Yates for six years. My husband, Willie, and I have been married for four years. We plan to have children someday, but for now we just enjoy having our dog, Hershey. We love the warm weather and being on the river boating, swimming, fishing, and just about anything else outdoors. I love spending time with my friends and family, and also love auto racing and football.

Diane Hicks - Front Desk Manager

I graduated from Oak Grove High School and still live in that area. I graduated from the Bessemer Technical Dental Assisting Program, and have enjoyed working in dentistry for the past thirty eight years. I have worked with Drs. Yates and Morrissey for twenty nine years. My husband, Merril, and I have one son, Gerrad and a daughter-in-law, Meghan. My hobbies include: reading, cooking, and spending time with my family.

Rebekah Blackstock - Dental Hygienist

My name is Rebekah Blackstock. I am a dental hygienist. I graduated from UAB Dental Hygiene School in June 2005. I have been working with Dr. Morrissey and Dr. Yates since 2001. I am married to Jason Blackstock and we have a two year old daughter named Brianna. In my spare time, I love to shop, do stuff outdoors, and hang out with my family.

Cindy O’Dell - Dental Hygienist

My name is Cindy O’Dell. I graduated from UAB Dental Assisting School in 1977, and UAB Dental Hygiene School in 1979. I am married to David and we have three children: Brian, Ryan, and Erin. We also have two grandchildren: Harrison and Camdyn. I love spending time with my family and playing with my grandchildren. My hobbies are scrapbooking, sewing, and reading.

Laura Rowe - Dental Assistant

Hi! My name is Laura Rowe. I have been a dental assistant with Drs. Morrissey and Yates since August 2007. Prior to that, I was working in orthodontics. I am married to Steven, and we have three children: Chance, Colby, and Chylyn. We are expecting our forth child in October 2008. I enjoy scrapbooking, watching my kids play sports, and just spending time with my family.

Karen Satterlee - Dental Hygienist

My name is Karen Satterlee, and I started in dentistry as an assistant in 1987. I graduated from the UAB Dental Hygiene program in 1993. I am married to Terry, and we have one daughter, Brileigh. I love spending time with my family and friends. My hobbies are sewing, decorating, and scrapbooking.
